Background:

Our client, a leading advisory and accountancy firm, is looking for an Audit Senior to join the team in the Dublin City Centre office.

The successful candidate will be working on a wide portfolio of clients across a range of industries, from medium to large limited companies.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Oversee all audit stages including planning, execution and completion
  • Coordinate and supervise small teams (up to a maximum of 3) on audit assignments 
  • Be the main liaison with the client during onsite audits. Key here is to manage client expectations through clear and concise communication 
  • Communicate regularly & effectively with management and partner, particularly on progress and status of audits 
  • Be flexible in approach to working across a wide range of audit assignments and working on multiple teams
  • Ensure deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to

 

Relationships:

  • Main point of contact for clients while onsite and throughout the audit process
  • Build a good understanding of the client’s objectives / strategies & the impact on the department is essential
  • Equally, an understanding of the role the successful applicant and his / her team play is crucial
  • Mentoring, sharing knowledge and training of junior team members
  • Helping management and Partner with client presentations including preparing audit planning and reporting documents 

 

The successful applicant:

Our client is seeking candidates who have:

  • An ACA or ACCA qualification
  • 3 – 4 years experience working in an audit department
  • Strong time management
  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and client service ethos
  • Excellent communication
  • Demonstrable experience of working to deadlines and managing priorities
  • Proficient on MS office (essential) and Caseware (preferable)
  • Good leadership and delegation skills

 

Package on offer:

  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Salary €45k
