Background:
Our client, a retail giant rapidly expanding in Ireland, is seeking an ambitious and business-oriented Financial Manager with a hands-on attitude.
As Financial Manager for Ireland and United Kingdom, you report directly to the Country Manager and have a matrix functional manager - the Director Controlling and Loss Prevention at the Head Office. You are responsible for financial and administrative functions, including Helpdesk, in two countries. You are located in our Head office, in Dublin, and your team is split between two countries – UK and Ireland. You can expect biweekly travels to the UK office in Stockport and a few business trips to the Head Office in Denmark during the year.

Are a part of Country Management Team and act as a proactive and business-oriented sparring partner for the Country Manager and retail organisation

Being a manager in your department, you live up to corporate Values and Leadership, and ensure that employees in your team are motivated and have clearly defined areas of responsibility
Have a relevant master degree within finance and/or economics
Have good skills and experience with business controlling
Have at least 3 years of relevant experience from a managerial position in a large international company or alternatively experience with project management and a great potential for direct management
Are responsible for:
o Improvement of business controlling activities
o Development and improvement of administrative procedures
o Preparation of budgets
o Internal audit
o Helpdesk
