Background:

If you want to have ownership of the day to day running of the IT function consisting of a 30-user network, then this is the job for you.

You will be the only dedicated IT resource with complete responsibility for all support requests enquiries and the development and maintenance of all IT requirements including application updates and installs.

For larger IT projects or as required you will be responsible for managing third party suppliers or contract resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the deployment, maintenance, upgrade, and support of all IT systems

    • Desktop PC and some Apple Macs

    • Server and Desktop Operating systems

    • Hardware

    • Software

    • Peripherals

    • Networking

  • Perform daily system monitoring using networks monitoring tools verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes. Reviewing system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups

  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions

  • Maintain and follow ISO27001 policies and procedures

  • Test of DR and backup for compliance

  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles

  • Provide top level IT support (Level 1, 2 and 3) services to all staff, resolving all issues in a timely and effective manner

  • Manage the logging of all calls and call updates on the internal ticket logging system

  • Configuration and management of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policies, SFTP

  • SonicWALL Firewall administration and maintenance incl. firmware upgrades, configuring rules, VPN, remote access and WiFi points

  • Ensure proper and adequate security for all information and systems is in place Installation, configuration and maintenance of virtualized servers using Microsoft Hyper-V Office365 administration

  • Maintaining inventory of all IT related assets Assist in IT projects as required

  • Create and update policy documents, network configuration documentation and ensure compliance to ISO27001, ISO9001 standards


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • Windows Server 2012

  • HyperV

  • Sonicwall Firewall Administration

  • Office 365 Admin

  • HP Switching ProCurve

  • Windows Desktop OS/Apple Mac OS

  • Scripting Batch, PowerShell, Bash

  • Workflow applications and automation

  • ISO27001

  • MS SQL
