Overview of role:
The role covers a range of marketing activities but will mainly have a digital focus. It will include managing customer facing web tools and portals, along with managing and supporting digital touchpoints for the consumer including social media channels, PPC, SEO, digital display, re-targeting, native content and all other forms of digital. The marketing executive is responsible for generating ideas and campaigns on a seasonal basis for start to finish including all ATL and BTL propositions, creating content for traditional channels, web channels, mobile channels and engaging with relevant agencies and partners to deliver such. Online acquisition targets and retention targets are within the remit of the digital marketing executive with a view to scaling up the role of the online channels in customer acquisition and retention.
Marketing Strategy, KPIs & Accountability:
Digital Marketing Strategy: Helping to set the annual digital marketing strategy; delivering a structured measurable online, mobile and digital plan annually that achieves the company KPIs as per the agreed Assignment Letter goals for the year
KPIs and measurable Objectives: Setting KPIs for each initiative set out in the company strategy, linking the digital marketing strategic initiatives to the team’s measurable objectives
Campaign Performance: Effectively managing the digital marketing campaigns and driving the KPI’s
Online Performance: Driving sales online, increasing web traffic and conversions
Mobile Performance: Aligning mobile with desktop. Mobile first in all marketing activity where necessary
Social Performance: Customer engagement and acquisition driven through social media
Marketing Communications:
E-zine: Delivering the e-zine. Improving the open and engage rates for the year
Online: Execution of quarterly content plan that drives digital content across multiple online channels. Continuous monitoring of web channel sales and improving flow in conjunction with design and IT support. Drive sales online as per annual metrics
E-Mail Campaigns: Devising email campaigns that will promote and invigorate sales backed by research and insight as above.
Online & Digital Marketing: (Focus) (NB - Mobile First):
Responsible for driving the company’s online and digital marketing plan including brochure-sites, online redemption micro-sites, employee affinity and potential white label sites
Own the SEO for the company, ensure the highest conversion rates against PPC. Continuous monitoring of the company website and performance to improve conversion
Brochure Sites: Responsible for the branding content, maintenance and design of the company site
Social Media: Growing the social media presence using events, celebrations and one-off instances to drive
Engagement with the audience. Owning the engagement strategy for social media platforms to ensure that the company isn’t “a dumb follow”
White Label Sites: The development of the white label ecommerce web strategy
