Background:

Our client, a significant player in the Pharmaceutical & Commercial Printing market, is looking to add a Quality Manager to their team.

The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing compliance with the Quality Management System and other associated duties. This person is also required to act as the Data Protection Officer.

Detailed responsibilities

1 - Ensure that an appropriate QMS is in place for our client to achieve its obligations under ISO9001 PS9000 standard.

  • Quality Manual updates

  • Quality Procedures updates

  • Supplier management including audits and vendor assessments

  • Main point of contact for Certification body surveillance audits

  • Manage Internal Audit Schedule and audit team

  • Maintain and Manage ISMS to ISO 27001:2013 standard

  • ISMS Manual updates

  • ISMS Policy updates

  • Fulfill the role of Data Protection Officer, preparing an annual report for submission to the Board of Directors

  • Training on GDPR and ISMS system requirements

  • Issues swipe access cards as required

 

2 - Full responsibility for the Quality Control team and the Quality Assistant Manager

  • Ensure a functioning team is in place with the appropriate structures established with documented clear lines of responsibility

  • Develop the team to ensure its members are adequately trained and cross trained appropriately for the team to complete its function. This includes:

    • Ensuring the appropriate and most efficient systems are in place for the QC team to carry out their duties in the most efficient manner

    • Ensuring all records are maintained, stored and disposed of in accordance with group policy

  • Identify areas for improvement and implements innovative solutions throughout the team

  • Monitor any areas of risks and tracks solutions through to completion and implementation

  • Regular reporting on the performance of the team and any key initiatives to drive improvement

  • Regular team meetings to both discuss and understand ongoing challenges and to ensure that there is a positive cohesive team spirit

  • Perform an annual review of the team and its effectiveness, documenting any concerns and including suggestions for improvement

  • Complete regular performance appraisals for your direct reports and ensure goals and objectives are set at least annually

 

3 - Corrective and Preventative Action process

  • Support the Quality Assistant Manager in their objectives pertaining to the CAPA process acting as an escalation point for both internal and external stakeholders

 

4 - Regular preparation of accurate and timely Management Information

  • Management Review – quarterly

  • Prepare and Issue Weekly Quality Report

  • Docket check log updating

  • Prepare and issue monthly board reports

  • Update weekly quality KPI report

 

5 - Audits

  • The Senior Quality Manager is responsible for all audits including ISO standard audits, Customer audits and oversight of the internal audit plan. The Assistant Manager will support you in this regard

 

6 - Promote a culture of compliance and customer satisfaction at all times

  • Induction training for all new employees

7 - Administrative requirements

  • Change control management

  • Ensure we have all the relevant procedural documentation for each client to effectively manage and develop our key clients including drafting workflows and agreeing SLAs where needed

  • Actively drive and monitor our processes to ensure that we meet our internal workflow process and anything identified by our customers.

  • Maintenance of certain records as required by ISO standards and GDPR requirements example certain HR records, testing records etc.

 

8 - Participate in key business projects which will change from time to time

 

9 - Support the Quality Assistant Manager in their role as champion for Health and Safety

  • Ensure they achieve their goals and objectives.

 

10 - Perform other reasonable duties associated to the role assigned 

 

11 - Work to defined GMP standards (Good Manufacturing Practice Standards)

 

12 - Work to consistently meet customer, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements

 
Package on offer:
